A B.C. woman received the bill for her divorce. She was not happy about it and took her lawyer to court.
The legal bill for the initial lawsuit and appeal included $833,400 for legal fees and $185,061 for taxes and disbursements such as preparing transcripts and documents for submission to court. That is just a tad [...]

Do people in grocery stores know how to drive?
I went grocery shopping today and I was appalled at how careless people are with their carts. (I usually go in off hours when I know the traffic will be light)
But I was a nice polite guy and merely said excuse me, except to that gal that [...]

Just like Micro$oft!!
I met a couple of guys at a Starbucks yesterday. I don’t drink coffee so had a juice and a muffin. Over $6.
On the way home I had to stop at Yorkdale Mall to rent a suit for a wedding. While there I had a lunch special (complete with ice tea) at Manchu [...]

A while back my “almost” son-in-law (2 weeks to go!) showed me that I have voice memo capability on my cell phone.
Neat!
I recorded 5 memos today. I even remembered to listen to them when I got home!

I will probably never understand women. How you can take boiling hot wax, pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the root, and still be afraid of a spider.

I do some of my own custom internet website programming using a language called php. I have also used outsourcing to do small custom bits of programming when I think it will take me too long to figure something out.
I had a PHD physicist do some work for me for $17 that probably would have [...]

I stuck my head out and said I probably spend less on food than many poor people, and eat better. Here is an example of a shopping trip I took after work today.
package of salad = 3.49 less 1.00 coupon (it was almost expired) = 2.49
cucumber = 0.79
3 small tomatoes = 1.23
that will probably create [...]

It has been 2 days, and about evening news time the helicopters are still circling. Too bad I do not have cable or an antenna so I could see what they are showing.

In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room . . .
. . . where their family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber.
“I’m afraid I’m the bearer of bad news,” he said as he surveyed the worried faces. “The only hope left for your loved one at [...]

If you watch or read the news, you probably heard about the huge explosions at a propane company here in Toronto. Unfortunately, I was visiting my grand daughter in Hamilton and missed most of the excitement. From my balcony I should have been able to see part of the blaze, although a large building [...]
