Canada Protects a Murderer

According to this item in the Toronto Star, Canada does a good job of protecting people who are convicted murderers in their home countries.

All the murderer has to do is get on a plane that subsequently lands in Canada. The criminal then applies for refugee status. If there is valid evidence supporting the accusation of the crime, your application for refugee status will be denied, and you will be deported. But then a small problem occurs.

If your home country supports the use of the death penalty (which many do), and your crime means you will be punished in that way, Canadian law will not allow you to be shipped home, unless that country makes assurances that you will not be executed.

Now we Canadians are stuck with you, and will probably even provide services like health care, at tax payer expense.
