Father’s Day 2009

Visited with my daughter and her family on Father’s Day. She made an awesome feast for me to get stuffed on.

The weather was awesome on the Sunday, although it rained all day Saturday. All the rain made the fields near their house muddy and after the traditional walk with the dogs at 6 am (do we grandpas have to wake so early?) I spent some minutes scraping mud from my boots.

Jasmine got me to watch her using her “Tarzan rope”, and we set up another chunk of a log so that she has a launching platform at each end of the swing’s area.

The most techie fun for me was when I built a small holder for my flip video camera. It was in the old garage on the site, and pointed directly at a nest being built by a pair of swallows. I have not processed the film yet, and will post it here when I have. I was quite proud of myself figuring it out. More details when the video has been edited.
