Testosterone and Fast Cars

The number of traffic deaths is down in most of North America, and some experts say it is due to high gas prices earlier this year. People drove less, and slower in some cases, which led to less accidents.

Here in Ontario (Canada) the OPP say that more enforcement has made a difference. Part of this is a new tough street-racing law that impounds the vehicles of drivers caught doing more than 50 kilometres an hour (about 30 miles per hour) above the posted limit. Police have caught about 10,000 drivers going that fast. Although the stats that I read did not give a break down, I suspect that the vast majority of these speeders were young males.

10,000 !!!
