Valentine’s Day, Stress, and Libido

A British pharmacy is beginning a new trial today (Valentine’s Day!!!) that will allow men there to acquire Viagra without a prescription. Not that you can just walk up and buy the little blue pills. You will have to be interviewed about your medical history, and be tested on blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels. The consultation and a 4-pack will cost you just over $100.

Meanwhile, across the channel, the Mediterranean culture of Spain is in disarry, thanks in part to the stress of a modern western-style economy, and its trend of workaholicism. This stress has, in turn, had a negative impact on the Spanish male libido. Enter Pfizer Inc., which is happy to help Spain to become the lead in the European Viagra bandwagon.
