Ever been disappointed to miss a disaster?

If you watch or read the news, you probably heard about the huge explosions at a propane company here in Toronto. Unfortunately, I was visiting my grand daughter in Hamilton and missed most of the excitement. From my balcony I should have been able to see part of the blaze, although a large building across the street probably blocked part of the view. I am close enough (700 metres) that the noise would have awakened me.

I stayed in Hamilton longer than planned as the news said transportation into the area was being curtailed beyond the actual evacuation zone. When I did come home (arriving at closest subway stop just before 7 pm) the closest the city buses would take me was almost 2 km away. I had to walk that 2 km, passing through a police road block at one point.
