The Bully Comes Clean

“A 15-year-old black belt who was suspended for breaking the nose of a classmate who racially abused him will return to school Tuesday after a sudden change of heart at the York Region board.” As reported by the Globe and Mail late yesterday.

The article goes on to question the actions of the school’s principal (the incident took place during a phys ed class) and the school board. Why was the boy who was attacked suspended after defending himself? The antagonist punched first, and the boy with the black belt struck back with his weaker hand.

Now we will wait to see when happens with the court case. Again, only the defender was charged!

Can you imagine how many times I would have been suspended in my day if this rule was around when I went to school???
